Daffodilies
Ahh, one last glimpse of one of my very favorite flowers, which have just made a graceful exit from the garden landscape. If, like me, you are still hungry for more narcissus, keep an eye on the visual bounty that is the Floret Flower Farm blog. This post here is exactly what I am talking about. Yum yum.

I still have one armful left in the garden, in a shadier spot under a tree, I'm going to plant more there to extend the joy next year! I could spend far too much time gazing at the flowers on your and Erin's blogs!xx
ReplyDeleteI am inspired to plant bulbs this fall, Belinda is going to remind me. I don't think I can make it through another spring without some of these.
ReplyDeletexo Jane
you are too sweet. thanks!
ReplyDeleteGeranium jonquils. I'm taking these home for tomorrow's Flower Monday!
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite spring flower. (sorry, peony)!
Belinda- Such a good idea. The holidays got so busy here this year that I didn't get my new daffodils (these) in the ground until January. I was worried, but apparently we can get away with it here this mild climate. They ended up being late bloomers; I'm going to slack like this every year to extend the season while adding new bulbs!
ReplyDeleteJane- Daffodils are one of the central joys of the Spring garden, in my book. What's this you've been making it without them???
Shelley- Wowza! High praise! But I might have to agree. They are such happy little spring flowers - all cheer and no pretension. And thank you for giving their name! I'd always just identified them as "the ones that look like Cadbury cream eggs". : )
Eeks- And Erin, no thank YOU! : )
