Day 5: WV to Chicago (550 miles, 11 hours)

Despite torrential rains and traffic, our journey to Chicago was quite pleasant. We saw more spectacular mountains and gorges in West Virginia, coal barges on the Kanawha River, and pastoral farms in Ohio and Indiana. By the time we got in to our friend's place in town (and found parking) we were pretty beat, but not so much so as to miss out on burgers and beer at a local eatery.
